This privacy policy governs use of the Ready Set Fit application. This application was developed by individuals at Bucknell University with the goal of improving wellness and engaging community partners.
Information Collected
This application collects demographic information that the user voluntarily provides. The demographic information will be connected to a profile ID number generated for you the first time you run the app. The profile ID and your demographic information will not be connected to your name or personal contact information. This information collected provides us with information that we examine in the aggregate to study characteristics of audiences utilizing the app. Users are not required to supply demographic information in order to use the features of the app.
With your consent, this application also collects information related to the walking paths that you select, when you walked the paths, and the actual path you walked compared to the path you requested. In order to collect information about the path that you actually walked, the application logs your location periodically as you walk a path. If you decline to consent to the collection of this information, you may still use the features of the app. The information that is collected allows us to understand how users are using the paths, helps community partners to identify issues with the paths, and helps us to identify new points of interests on paths.
This application utilizes camera access simply to allow you the convenience of taking photos on your mobile device without exiting the application as you are following a path. The application does not use, track, or store the images that you take.
The application does not collect information unless you provided consent to the collection and the application is in use. You may delete the application and/or your Profile ID at any time, in which case information can no longer be collected.
Third Party Access to Information
This information that you agreed to share may be shared in the aggregate with community partners and with research partners for use in making improvements to the application, improving walking paths, and studying use of the application. We do not sell your information or use or provide your information for marketing purposes.
Children
This application is not intended for use by children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly solicit data from children under the age of 18.
Updates
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Changes to this privacy policy will be posted here. You are advised to consult the privacy policy regularly for any changes.
